Abstract
Onečišćenje mora je problem od davnine, a naftno zagađenje je jedno od najvećih i najproblematičnijih. Tome pridonosi činjenica da se najveći udio nafte prevozi tankerima pomorskim putem. Tankerske nesreće dio su pomorskog pothvata te imaju razoran učinak na okoliš. Pomoću propisa i regulativa od kojih je MARPOL konvencija najutjecajnija dolazi do poboljšanja gradnje i opremanja tankera čime se nesreće postepeno smanjuju. Osim modernizacije tankera unaprjeđuju se i tehnike sprječavanja onečišćenja mora uljem. Cilj ove tehnike je smanjiti potencijalnu štetu za morski okoliš.
Abstract (english)
Sea pollution is a problem of old, and oil pollution is one of the biggest and most problematic. This is contributed by the fact that the largest share of oil is transported by sea-going tankers. Tanker accidents are part of a maritime enterprise and have a devastating environmental impact. By means of the rules and regulations of which the MARPOL Convention is the most influential, improvements to the construction and equipping of tankers are being achieved, with the accidents gradually decreasing. In addition to the modernization of tankers, oil pollution prevention techniques are being improved. The goal of this techniques to reduce the potential damage to the marine environment.
