Abstract
U današnje vrijeme najvažniji element koji čini kontejnerski terminal značajnim jesu upravo informacijsko-komunikacijske tehnologije. Cilj tih tehnologija je planiranje svih aktivnosti i učinkovito povezivanje svih subjekata lučkog sustava. U radu su navedene i pojašnjenje informacijske tehnologije kojima se nadzire, prati i upravlja kontejnerskim terminalima. Kao najvažniji sustav izdvaja se TOS terminalni operativni sustav koji se pojavljuje u samim počecima, pojavom računala. Navedeni su sustavi kojima se koriste neke od europskih luka od kojih su izdvojene luka Rotterdam, Venecija i Kopar, te kontejnerski terminal Brajdica. Objašnjeni su ciljevi i mogućnosti koje nude Navis sustav i Combis sustav dizajniran za upravljanje kontejnerskim prometom u poduzeću Luke Rijeka.
