Abstract
U današanje vrijeme promet ima izrazito važnu ulogu u životu čovjeka. Utječe na ubrzan razvoj, približavanje ljudi i mijenjanje njihovih odnosa te omogućuje razmjenu znanja i dobara. Zbog porasta broja motornih vozila veliki problem postala je sigurnost na cestama što zbog broja vozila, nedovoljne prometne kulture vozača i pješaka, visokog postotka neispravnih i dotrajalih vozila u prometu, isto tako i zbog neprilagođenosti ceste zahtjevima suvremenog prometa, loše vertikalne i horizontalne signalizacije, slabe preventivne i represivne mjere i sl. Dobra, efikasna i sigurna cestovna infrastruktura omogućava rast produktivnosti, olakšava i potiče mobilnost ljudi i roba, a smanjivanjem prometne izoliranosti stvaraju se pretpostavke za ujednačen regionalni razvoj. Također, cestovna infrastruktura jedan je od glavnih čimbenika koji izravno utječe na sigurnost cestovnog prometa i samim time bitan je predmet istraživanja.
Abstract (english)
In today’s time traffic has an important role in man’s life. It effects on the speed of the development, joining people and changing their relationships, and allows the exchange of knowledge and goods. Because of the constant growth of the number of the motorcars a big issue becomes the road safety due to the drivers and pedestrian culture, malfunction and deterioration of vehicles or due to bad road infrastructure witch is not adjusted to the modern traffic demands, poor vertical and horizontal signalization, poor prevention and repression measures etc. Good, efficient and safe road infrastructure enables productivity growth, helps and encourages the mobility of people and goods, and decreasing traffic isolation means achieving the most important assumptions for a homogenized regional growth. Likewise, the road infrastructure is one of the main factors witch directly affects the traffic safety and thereby an important subject of study.
