Abstract
Globalizacija je novi oblik sustava koji oblikuje prometno gospodarstvo. Pomorski promet igra ključnu ulogu u vanjskotrgovinskoj razmjeni. U ovom radu govori se o procesu globalizacije, kako je utjecala na pomorski promet, svjetsku krizu te na cjelokupno svjetsko gospodarstvo. Globalizacija je pozitivno i negativno utjecala na pojedine sustave prometa. Pomorski promet ide u korak s globalnim promjenama i obujam prekomorske robne razmjene se svake godine povećava. Modernizacija lučkog sustava i plasiranje brodova velike nosivosti na tržište pozitivno se odrazilo na gospodarstvo pomorskih zemalja. Republika Hrvatska također bilježi pozitivan trend rasta pomorskog prometa.
Abstract (english)
Globalisation is a new form of the system which shapes traffic economy. Maritime transportation plays the key role in the exchange of goods. This thesis presents the process of globalisation, its influence on maritime transport and the whole world economy. Globalisation has influenced specific traffic systems both in a positive and negative way. Maritime transportation develops simultaneously with global changes and the quantity of overseas trade has been growing every year. Modernisation of the port system and the placement of large ships with big capacity on the market has reflected positively on the economy of overseas countries. The Republic of Croatia records a positive trend of the maritime transportation.
