Abstract
Sustav automatskog upravljanja prometom uključuje središnju upravljačku jedinicu koja je povezana s mnoštvom udaljenih terminala preko jedinstvenoga komunikacijskog kanala. Automobilske tehnologije dobivaju na značaju u modernim sustavima upravljanja cestovnim prometom jer broj cestovnih vozila i putnika naglo raste. Jedan pristup povećanja propusnosti na autocestama koristi politiku koja se naziva automatizirani sustav autocesta. Ovo je potpuno automatizirani sustav u kojem se koristi kombinacija tehnologija upravljanja, komunikacija i računanja da bi se povećala propusnost na autocesti. Sustav automatskog upravljanja prometom u gradu Rijeci svojim tehnološkim mogućnostima cilja na optimalno upravljanje prometom u zadanim uvjetima. Suvremena tehnologija upravljanja prometom omogućuje upravljanje svjetlosnom prometnom signalizacijom, ovisno o stvarnim (trenutnim) prometnim opterećenjima u prometnoj mreži.
Abstract (english)
The automatic traffic management system includes a central control unit, which is connected to a plurality of remote terminals via a unique communication channel. Automotive technologies are gaining importance in modern road traffic management systems as the number of road vehicles and passengers is increasing rapidly. One approach to increasing highway bandwidth is using a policy called the automated highway system. This is a fully automated system that uses a combination of management, communications and computing technologies to maximize highway bandwidth. The automatic traffic management system in the City of Rijeka, with its technological capabilities, aims at optimal traffic management under the given conditions. Modern traffic management technology enables the management of light traffic signaling, depending on the actual (current) traffic loads in the transport network.
