Abstract
U doktorskom radu je istražen utjecaj adaptivnog informacijskog sustava brodskog zapovjedničkog mosta na radno opterećenje časnika straže. Ranijim istraživanjima je utvrđen bitan utjecaj razine radnog opterećenja na učinkovitost osobe, njezinu sposobnost donošenja ispravnih odluka i provođenja zadataka. U slučaju previsokog opterećenja odnosno preopterećenja može se značajno umanjiti svjesnost o okolnostima te povećati rizik od počinjenja pogreške. Značajni problem koji se ističe prilikom ovog istraživanja jest kvantificiranje radnoga opterećenja, posebice u svrhu predviđanja i prepoznavanja otežanih okolnosti. U radu je prikazan pregled radnih zadataka i utjecaj na radno opterećenje te je predložen novi pristup procjene visine radnog opterećenja kvantificiranjem važnosti i hitnosti radnji koje je neophodno provesti. Razvijen je model rada časnika straže, odnosno model tijeka i provedbe gotovo svih radnji na zapovjedničkom mostu za vrijeme plovidbe, kao temelj za usporedbu i provjeru adaptivnog informacijskog sustava. Za određivanje značajki radnji korišteni su stvarni podaci prikupljeni simulacijom plovidbe s časnicima straže na simulatoru Transas 4000, anketnim ispitivanjem aktivnih pomoraca i dostupnom literaturom. Nadalje, razvijen je model adaptivnog sustava koji je uključen kao posebna cjelina u model rada časnika čime tvori konačni cjeloviti model rada časnika s adaptivnim informacijskim sustavom zapovjedničkoga mosta. Osnovni cilj adaptivnog informacijskog sustava je smanjenje radnoga opterećenja časnika straže i povećanje sigurnosti plovidbe prepoznavanjem otežanih navigacijskih okolnosti i prilagođavanjem informacija i pobuda. Metode adaptacije uključuju kontroliranu odgodu i preusmjeravanje. Kontroliranom odgodom omogućava se raspoređivanje radnji tijekom vremena, tj. časnik pojedine radnje odradi u povoljnijem trenutku, a preusmjeravanjem se omogućava da druga pogodnija osoba preuzme određenu radnju. Adaptivni sustav ni u jednom obliku ne sprječava provođenje svih zadataka. Provedbom simulacija modela rada časnika s adaptivnim sustavom i bez adaptivnog sustava dobiveni su zasebni rezultati koji opisuju broj provedenih radnji, kašnjenje provedbi radnji, radno opterećenje i preopterećenje te broj poziva za pomoć. Usporedbom rezultata dokazuje se utjecaj adaptivnog informacijskog sustava na rad časnika. Istraživanjem je dokazano da adaptivni informacijski sustav uspješno prepoznaje otežane navigacijske okolnosti i umanjuje radno opterećenje časnika.

This doctoral dissertation explores the impact of the navigation bridge adaptive information system on the workload of the officer of the watch. Existing research has shown that the level of workload significantly affects person's performance, the ability to make the right decisions and carry out tasks. Excessive workload or overload can significantly reduce the situation awareness and increase the risk of committing errors. A significant problem that stands out in this research is quantifying the workload, especially in order to predict and recognize of demanding situations. In this dissertation a review of tasks with their impact on the workload is presented and a new approach to estimate the workload level is proposed by quantifying the importance and urgency of required operations. A work model of the officer of the watch is developed, ie, a work flow and performance of almost all operations on the navigation bridge during a voyage, as the basis for comparison and verification of the adaptive information system. To define attributes of each operation actual data were used, which were collected from navigation simulation with officers of the watch on the simulator Transas 4000, the survey of active seamen and available literature. A model of the adaptive system is developed which is included as a specific unit in the work model of the officer to form the final integrated model of the bridge adaptive information system. The basic objective of the adaptive information system is to reduce the workload of the officer of the watch and to increase the safety of navigation by recognizing demanding navigation situations and adapting the information and incentives. Adaptation methods include controlled delay and re-routing. Controlled delay allows the allocation of operations over time, ie, that the officer conducts certain operations in a more favorable moment, and re-routing allows the other suitable person to take over a specific operation. The adaptive system does not prevent in any form the conductance of all tasks. By running the simulation of work model of the officer of the watch with the adaptive system and without the adaptive system, separate results are obtained that describe the extent of conducted operations, operations delay, workload and overload, and the number of calls for help. Comparison of the results demonstrates that the adaptive information system impacts the officer's work. Research has shown that the adaptive information system effectively recognizes the demanding navigation situations and reduces the officer's workload.
