Abstract
Uz pomoć programa podrške, poput Thetis programa, EMCIP baze pomorskih nezgoda, CleanSeaNet programa otkrivanja onečišćenja, te Macks programa obrazovanja, EMSA nastoji pružiti pomoć državama članicama, Europskoj komisiji, lučkim kapetanijama, inspekcijskim organima i drugima u poboljšanju sigurnosti plovidbe.

Parallel abstract (English)
The paper deals with the problem of Safety of Maritime Navigation. According to the amount of cargo transported by sea, the number of participants in maritime transport, the continuous growth of maritime transport, main aim of international and European organizations is to form a system of maritime safety, which will reduce the number of marine casualties, eliminating the loss of human life and acting on prevention of sea pollution. The role of promoting the safety of navigation, control over navigation, inspection of ships and responding to pollution incidents took over the EMSA (European Maritime Safety Agency). With the support of programs like Thetis program, EMCIP base of maritime accidents, CleanSeaNet detection program for oil spills and MaCKs education programs, EMSA is helping the member states, the European Commission, the port authorities, inspection authorities and others to improve the safety of navigation.
