Abstract
Pri određivanju položaja satelitskim navigacijskim sustavima najveću komponentu pogreške predstavlja ionosfersko kašnjenje. Uz uobičajene pokazatelje svemirskog vremena, za praćenje stanja donjih slojeva ionosfere predlaže se korištenje SID monitora koji prate snagu primljenih VLF signala. Izrađen je prognostički model ionosferskih poremećaja te privremenog pogoršanja kvalitete određivanja položaja GPS sustavom. Istraživanjem je obuhvaćen prostor Jadranskog mora i srednje Europe u razdoblju mirnih uvjeta svemirskog vremena i u periodu ljetnih mjeseci. U istraživanju su korišteni podaci dostupni iz javnih baza podataka i sa referentne IGS postaje. Proveden je postupak korelacije među vrijednostima na temelju kojeg je izrađen matematički model razgranatog stabla. Model pokazuje dobre karakteristike pri niskim vrijednostima parametra složenosti što upućuje na postojanje kompleksnije veze između horizontalne pogreške pri određivanju položaja GPS sustavom i stanja donjih ionosferskih slojeva. Istaknuta su ograničenja modela te su dane smjernice za nastavak istraživanja.

When determining position with satellite navigational systems ionospheric delay represents major component of total positioning error. Along with commonly used indicators of space weather conditions, the usage of SID monitors for indicating the state of lower layers of ionosphere by means of monitoring the strength of received VLF signals, is hereby proposed. Prognostic model of ionospheric disturbances and temporary degradation of position determining quality is developed. Research covers Adriatic and Central European region in calm space weather conditions in summer months. Data from publicly available databases including IGS referent station is used. Correlation between values is conducted to develop mathematical model of regression decision tree. Proposed model presents satisfactory characteristics with low values of the complexity parameter which indicates on existence of more complex relation between horizontal positioning error of GPS system and the state of lower ionospheric layers. Limitations of the proposed model are discussed and given guidelines for further research activities.
