Abstract
U ovom radu analizirat će se odnosi luka Bliskog istoka, točnije luka Dubai, Gwadar i Chabahar. Cilj rada je prikazati ekonomsku utrku zemalja poput UAE, Kine i Indije u razvoju luka kako bi pojačale svoj utjecaj na tom području. U uvodnom dijelu definirat će se glavna hipoteza te svrha samog rada ali i uvesti u problematiku diplomskog rada. Nadalje, opisat će se položaj luka, navesti njihove bitne karakteristike i usporediti promet luka. U trećem dijelu rada prikazat će se ulaganja Kine u pakistanski Gwadar i Indije u iranski Chabahar, što je i razlog tzv. ekonomskog rata na Bliskom istoku. U posljednjem dijelu pomoću SWOT analize prikazat će se prednosti i nedostaci luka te osvrnuti se na utjecaj pandemije Covid-19 na razvoj luka.
Abstract (english)
This paper will analyze the relations between the ports of the Middle East, more precisely the ports of Dubai, Gwadar and Chabahar. The aim of the paper is to show the economic race of countries like UAE, China and India in developing ports to increase their influence in the field. In the introductory part, the main hypothesis and the purpose of the paper will be defined, but also introduced into the issue of the thesis. Furthermore, the position of ports will be described, their essential characteristics will be stated and the traffic of ports will be compared. The third part of the paper will present the investments of China in Pakistan's Gwadar and India in Iran's Chabahar, which is the reason for the so-called economic war in the Middle East. In the last part, with the help of SWOT analysis, the advantages and disadvantages of ports will be presented and the impact of the Covid19 pandemic on the development of ports will be discussed.
