Abstract
Svaka država teži razvoju gospodarstva i društva kako bi se posljedično podigao životni standard. Sve većim rastom populacije te gospodarskim razvojem dolazi do velikog razvitka prometa i transporta. Veliki problem nastaje u ekološkom otisku kojim utječemo na okoliš te samim time i na zdravlje ljudi. Razvoj prometa mora se uskladiti sa osnovnim načelima koncepta održivog razvoja, što se postiže u slučaju ako je potrošnja obnovljivih resursa manja od mogućnosti za obnovom. Integracija suvremenih tehnologija poput inteligentnih transportnih sustava nudi rješenja te mogućnost za ostvarivanje novog, održivog načina života, inovativnih ideja u svrhu olakšavanja svakodnevice za sve sudionike u prometu. Rad analizira svrhu i učinak implementacije inteligentnih transportnih sustava u održivom razvoju prometa.
Abstract (english)
Each state aspires to the development of its economy and society so that consequently the living standard can be raised. With the ever growing amount of population as well as the economic growth, the society is experiencing evolution and expansion in traffic and transport. The big problem presents itself in the form of an ecological footprint that has had a negative effect on the environment and the health of people. Traffic development has to be coordinated with the basic principles of the concept of sustainable development. In order to achieve those principles the consumption of renewable sources has to be lesser than its ability of renewal. Integration of modern technologies such as intelligent transportation systems offer solutions and opportunities for achieving new, sustainable lifestyle and innovative ideas that tackle everyday problems that occur in traffic. The paper analyzes goals and effectiveness in the implementation of intelligent transportation systems in sustainable traffic development.
