Abstract
Logistika paketnih pošiljki te svakodnevno razvija te nastoji zadovoljiti zahtjeve koji se stavljaju pred nju. Razvojem online trgovine i porastom broja stanovništva te ubrzanim načinom života logistika paketnih pošiljki se sve više razvija s ciljem dovođenja tražene pošiljke od pošiljatelja do primatelja u što kraćem vremenskom roku. Pošiljke se prvo pristižu u sabirni centar na kontinentima, a zatim se odvoze u regionalne i lokalne distributivne centre. Nakon razvrstavanja, sortiranja, pakiranja i obrade pošiljki iste se šalju do krajnjeg primatelja koji je obično dužan potpisati primitak pošiljke. Skoro svako poduzeće u svijetu ima uslugu dostave, ali su rijetka usko specijalizirana za isto. Među njima se vodi svakodnevna borba za opstanak na tržištu. U današnje vrijeme, u svijetu dominiraju američke kompanije United Parcel Service i Federal Express. Obje tvrtke postoje dugi niz godina, djeluju u oko 200 zemalja te svoj transport temelje na zračnom prijevozu.
Abstract (english)
Package logistics develop every day and aspire to meet the requirements. By developing online store and increase in the population, package logistics is developing and it should bring the shipment from the shipper to the recipient for as short a time as possible. Shipments are arriving at collect centre on each continent, after that they are arrived to regional and local distribution centre. After sorting, packing and processing of packages, they are send to the final recipient who usually has obligation to sign the papers. Also, packages are transport by air and road. Nowadays, almost every comapny in the world has a delivery service, but only few are closely specialize for delivery of packages. Among them, there is a daily struggle for survival at the market. Nowadays, in the worls are dominated two large companies: United Parcel Service and Federal Express. They exist for many years, operate in about 200 countries and base their service on tranport by air.
