Abstract
Drvo je jedno od najvažnijih materijala koje je kroz povijest imalo važnu ulogu u ljudskim životima, a to se nastavilo i u današnjim vremenima. Zbog svojih svojstava drvo može postati jako opasan teret te zahtijeva posebnu pažnju pri rukovanju i prijevozu morem. Najvažniji kriterij pri prijevozu drva morem je stabilnost broda koja uvijek mora biti pozitivna. Važno je da se teret dobro složi i učvrsti kako ne bi došlo do mogućih nezgoda, a ovakvi postupci su propisani u Kodeksu o sigurnom prijevozu drva na palubi koje je izdao IMO.
Abstract (english)
Wood is one of the most important material that has historically played an important role in people's lives, and this has continued and in modern times. Due to its properties, timber can become a very dangerous cargo and requires special care when handling and transporting by sea. The most important criterion for the transport by sea is the stability of the ship, which must always be positive. It is important that the cargo is well stacked and secured to avoid possible accidents, such procedures are prescribed in the IMO Code of Safe Practice for Ships Carrying Timber Deck Cargoes.
