Abstract
Da bi kozmos ispunjen česticama, planetima, zvijezdama i galaksijama mogao „živjeti“ potrebna je energija. Bez energije nema postojanja, a sve što postoji nastalo je energetskim transformacijama. Postojanje i život ljudske civilizacije direktno ovise o energiji elektromagnetskog zračenja nastalog fuzijom vodika na Suncu. "Glad“ svjetske populacije za energijom svakim je danom sve veća te se razvijaju sustavi za „Kročenje“ Sunčeve topline. Podjela je izvršena na sustave za apsorbiranje i koncentriranje Sunčeve topline. Apsorbirajući se sustavi, odnosno kolektori najčešće upotrebljavaju za zagrijavanje vode dok se koncentrirajući sustavi koriste za visokotemperaturna zagrijavanja medija te se preko generatora pare, parno-turbinskih sustava i generatora pretvaraju u električnu energiju. S obzirom na negativne učinke fosilnih goriva i činjenicu da izvori nafte nisu nepresušni, ulaganja u solarnu tehnologiju uzimaju sve veći zamah te se narednih par desetljeća očekuje nagli skok u broju i tehnologiji instaliranih postrojenja za iskorištavanje Sunčeve toplinske energije.

Parallel abstract (English)
The cosmos filled with particles, planets, stars and galaxies could "live" requires energy. Without energy there is no existence, and everything that exists was created by energy transformations. The existence and life of Human civilization directly dependent on the energy of the electromagnetic radiation produced by the fusion of hydrogen in the Sun. "Hunger" of the world population's energy requirement every day is bigger and for that reason systems for "taming" the sun's heat are developed. The division is made as systems to absorb and concentrate the sun's heat. Absorber systems and collectors are commonly used to heat water, while concentrating systems are used for high-temperature liquid heating and through the steam generator, steam turbine system and a generator into electricity. Due to the negative effects of fossil fuels and the fact that petroleum resources are not inexhaustible investment in solar technology are on the rise and the next couple of decades expect a sudden jump in the number of installed plants and technology for the utilization of solar thermal.
