Abstract
Tema ovog završnog rada je korekcija faktora snage i uloga sklopova energetske elektronike, kako u brodskim elektroenergetskim postrojenjima tako i u ostalim, manjim elektroenergetskim sustavima kojima se napajaju električni uređaji. Rad se fokusira na opisivanju metoda pravilne i kvalitetne korekcije, analize prednosti i nedostataka kako u tehničkom, tako i u ekonomskom aspektu. Naglasak je na faktor snage kao glavni parametar, no isto tako spomenuti su i drugi pojmovi poput harmoničnog izobličenja i utjecaja viših harmonika na provedbu kvalitetne korekcije. Kako bi se vjerno prikazali rezultati provedena je simulacija, te je napravljen simulacijski model u programskom paketu MATLAB/SIMULINK. Provedena je analiza korekcije koristeći aktivnu korekciju faktora snage upotrebom boost konvertera, a dobiveni rezultati su u skladu sa očekivanjima.

Parallel abstract (English)
The main topic of this thesis is power factor correction and the elements of power electronics that contribute to it, either used in ship power managment systems or other, smaller power systems that provide power supply to electric appliances. The main focus is on describing the methods for achieving correct and high quality power factor correction, while showing the benefits and disadvantages be it in technical or financial aspect, all in favour of choosing the preferred solution. The main point is power factor as the main parameter, however other terms are mentioned such as harmonic distortion and the influence of high harmonics on the quality of power factor correction. In order to truthfully show the results a simulation was conducted, and a simulation model was developed in the program package MATLAB/SIMULINK. An analysis was carried out using active power factor correction, and the results are in terms with the statements pointed out in the thesis.
