Abstract
Implementacijom naprednih telematičkih rješenja na cestama ostvaruje se primarni cilj prometnog sustava, a to je sigurnost prometa. Informiranje putnika i ostalih sudionika u prometu bitno je jer je sudionicima važno doći na odredište u što kraćem vremenu i što sigurnije. Automatsko upravljanje u prometu na primjeru grada Rijeke najbolji je primjer kako inteligentni transportni sustavi u cjelini funkcioniranju, odnosno kako su svim sudionicima u prometu informacije lako dostupne za planiranje putovanja i snalaženje u prometu. Tehnologija inteligentnih transportnih sustava svakodnevno napreduje kako bi se reducirali problemi u prometu, kao što su: zagušenja, duljina vremena čekanja, onečišćenje okoliša, potrošnja gorica te razne incidentne situacije.
Abstract (english)
The implementation of advanced telematics solutions on the roads is achieving the primary objective of the transport system, and that is traffic safety. Informing passengers and other participants in traffic is important because it is important for participants to reach the destination in the shortest possible time and safer as possible. Automatic traffic control on the example of the city of Rijeka is the best example of how intelligent transportation systems works together, apropos how the informations are easily accessible for travel planning and traffic management. Technology of intelligent transport systems progresses daily to reduce traffic problems such as: congestion, length of time waiting, environmental pollution, fuel consumption and various incidents.
