Abstract
Logistika i upravljanje dobavnim lancem imaju veliki utjecaj na globalno gospodarstvo kao i na svakodnevni život. Koncepti prijevoza i skladištenja omogućuju da pravi proizvodi budu na pravom mjestu u pravo vrijeme. Iako su trendovi povećane globalizacije, outsourcinga i većeg korištenja tehnologije pomagali logističkim aktivnostima, oni su također bili štetni za održivost. Emisije stakleničkih plinova, korištenje goriva i drugih prirodnih resursa, ostali oblici onečišćenja i povećana razina otpada od ambalaže samo su neki od tih štetnih utjecaja.
Abstract (english)
Logistics and supply chain management have a major impact on the global economy as well as everyday life. The concepts of transportation and warehousing enables the right products to be in the right place at the right time. While the trends of increased globalization, outsourcing and more use of technology have assisted logistics, they have also been harmful for sustainability. Emissions of greenhouse gases, use of fuel and other natural resourses, other forms of pollution and increased levels of waste from packaging are just some of these harmful impacts.
