Abstract
Ovaj rad se bavi razvojem megakontejnerskih brodova od uvođenja TEU jedinice pa do danas te je koncipiran u trima glavnim dijelovima. U prvom dijelu prikazan je tehnološki razvoj kontejnerskih brodova, rast kapaciteta te prilagodba promjenama u načinu poslovanja. Ekonomski aspekt kao pokretač razvoja prikazan je u drugom dijelu rada. Treći dio rada sadrži detalje o upravljanju ovom vrstom brodova te rizike koji su asocirani s tim. Na kraju je dan osvrt na završni rad u cjelini.
Abstract (english)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is an evolution of mega container ships since the introduction of TEU unit till today, and is conceptualized in three main parts. The first part is showing the technological evolution of container ships, growth in capacity and adjustment to changes in operational requirements. Economical aspect as a driving force of evolution is shown in the second part. Third part contains details of ship handling for this type of ships, and risks associated with it. Review of whole thesis is given at the end.
