Abstract
Nema sumnje da je pomorski prijevoz jedan od najvažnijih sredstava globalnog transporta tereta. Prevozeći oko 90 % svog tereta koji sudjeluje u svjetskoj trgovini, pomorskim su putevima omeđeni gotovo svi dijelovi planeta Zemlje. Čovjeka se smatra jednim od temeljnih elemenata o kojem ovisi pomorski prijevoz te je on najčešće odgovoran kada dođe do nesreća i materijalnih gubitaka. Kontinuirani rad na teretnim brodovima bez mogućnosti adekvatnog odmora za pomorce često sa sobom donosi negativne posljedice za psihičko i fizičko zdravlje povećavajući šanse za pojavu ljudske pogreške. Dugoročno, umor ima ozbiljne negativne posljedice na ljudsko tijelo što može dovesti do ozbiljnih tjelesnih i duševnih problema. Međunarodne organizacije kao što su Međunarodna pomorska organizacija (engl. International Maritime Organization – IMO) i Međunarodna organizacija rada (engl. Internatinal Labour Organization – ILO) objavile su nekoliko međunarodnih ugovora kako bi se odredilo maksimalno radno vrijeme i minimalni sati odmora za pomorce. Reorganizacijom rada na brodovima temeljem Međunarodne konvencije o standardima izobrazbe, izdavanju svjedodžbi i držanju straže pomoraca (engl. International convention on standards of training, certification and watchkeeping for seafarers - STCW), uvođenjem ergonomskih standarda u osmišljavanje tehnoloških sustava upravljanja brodovima te odgovarajućim obrazovanjem i osposobljavanjem pomoraca moguće je smanjiti pojavu umora.
Abstract (english)
There is no doubt that transport of cargo through the sea is one of the most important means of global cargo transport. Transporting 90 % of all cargo that participates in the world trade, almost all parts of the planet Earth are interwined with shipping routes. Man is considered to be one of the main elements on which maritime transport is dependent and he is the most common to blame when accidents and material losses occur. Continuous work on cargo ships without the possibility of adequate rest, often brings negative consequences for psychological and physical health of the seafarer. In the long run, fatique has serious negative impact on the human body, which can lead to severe physical and mental problems. International organizations such as the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Labor Organization (ILO) have published several international agreements to determine the maximum and minimum working hours for seafarers. With the reorganization of ship work following the recommendations of International Conventions such as Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for seafarers (STCW) convention, introducing ergonomic standards, designing technological ship management systems, and the appropriate upgrading and training of seafarers can reduce fatique.
