Abstract
Upotrebom parnih rashladnih uređaja kod kojih rashladno sredstvo isparava pri niskim temperaturama osigurava se prijevoz i očuvanje prehrambenih proizvoda, ali i postizanje ugodnih uvjeta boravka na brodu. Kompresor je najznačajniji dio parnog rashladnog uređaja. Njegova funkcija je usisavanje rashladnog sredstva koji na sebe preuzima toplinu u isparivaču i njegovo tlačenje radi odvođenja te topline u okolinu. Kompresor ne utječe samo na početnu cijenu, već i na karakteristike samog rashladnog sustava. Istovremeno treba voditi računa o troškovima servisiranja kompresora, pošto su troškovi servisiranja na brodu veći od ukupnih troškova kod drugih postrojenja.
Abstract (english)
The use of vapor-compression refrigeration where the refrigerant evaporates at low temperatures ensures safe transport and preservation of food products as well as achieving pleasant conditions of residence on a ship. The compressor is the most significant element of the vapor-compression refrigeration. Its function includes drawing in the cool vaporized refrigerant that carries the heat energy from the evaporator coils and compressing it to high pressure and temperature for the purpose of heat rejection. The compressor type not only impacts the first cost of the cooling system but also impacts the characteristics of the cooling system. Simultaneously, service costs have to be taken into account because the service costs on a ship are greater than the cost of development compared to other plants.
