Abstract
Kriptovalute ili kriptografske valute bazirane su na kriptografskim mehanizmima koji se koriste za stvaranje i zapisivanje transakcija. Kriptografski mehanizmi mogu biti javni ili privatni ključevi pomoću kojih se korisnicima omogućuje da vjeruju sustavu ako već nemaju povjerenja u ostale korisnike. Bitcoin je sustav elektroničkog novca kojeg je prema prvim informacijama izumio Satoshi Nakamoto ali to je bio samo pseudonim dok se 02. svibnja 2016. godine nije oglasio australski poduzetnik Craig Wright koji je potvrdio da je on osnivač bitcoina iako danas mnogi sumnjaju u to. 2008. godine bitcoin je pušten u javnost te su ga ljudi počeli istraživati, a 2009. godine djeluje kao softver temeljen na otvorenom izvornom kodu (engl. open source). Ovakav sustav je peer-to-peer sustav što znači da korisnici trguju izravno, tj. povezivanje računala bez posrednika ili centralnog poslužitelja. Transakcije se bilježe u blokovima koji čine blockchain mrežu ili glavnu knjigu koja je javna i decentralizirana. Blockchain stvaraju rudari, svaka je transakcija javna što znači da je ostali rudari moraju potvrditi kako bi bila valjana.
Abstract (english)
Cryptocurrencies or cryptographic currencies are based on cryptographic mechanisms used to create and record transactions. Cryptographic mechanisms can be public or private keys that allow users to trust the system if they do not already trust other users. Bitcoin is an electronic money system that according to the first information was invented by Satoshi Nakamoto, but it was only a pseudonym until May 2, 2016 when Australian entrepreneur Craig Wright, confirmed that he is the founder of bitcoin. Today many reject Wright’s claim. In 2008. bitcoin was released to the public and people started exploring it, and in 2009. it operated as an open source software. This system is a peer-to-peer system which means that users trade directly by connecting computers without an intermediary or central server. Transactions are recorded in blocks that make up a blockchain network or general ledger that is public and decentralized. Blockchain is built by miners, each transaction is public which means that other miners must confirm it to be valid.
