Abstract
Ovim radom analizira se utjecaj projekta „Nature & Wildlife“ na razvoj turizma Gorskog kotara. Projekt „Nature & Wildlife“ sufinanciran je iz programa prekogranične suradnje Interreg V-A Slovenija – Hrvatska oformljenog od strane Europske unije kao instrument za poboljšanje suradnje graničnih zemalja, rješavanje zajedničkih problema i ujednačenje razvijenosti pograničnog područja. U tom pogledu projekt „Nature & Wildlife“ razvijen je s ciljem aktivnog očuvanja zajedničke prirodne baštine kroz održivi turizam. Poboljšanim statusom uključenih baštinskih područja, poticanjem zelene ekonomije i podizanjem svijesti lokalnih dionika i stanovništva nastoji se potaknuti održivi razvoj područja. Područje uključeno u projektne aktivnosti obuhvaća Zeleni kras u Primorsko-goranskoj regiji (SLO), te Gorski kotar u Primorsko-goranskoj županiji (HR). Područja uključena u projekt dijele karakteristike krškog reljefa prisutnog u brdsko-planinskim područjima sjevernih Dinarida s mnoštvo zaštićenih prirodnih područja i životinja.
Abstract (english)
This paper analyzes the impact of the project "Nature & Wildlife" on the development of tourism in Gorski Kotar. "Nature & Wildlife" project is co-financed by the cross-border cooperation program Interreg V-A Slovenia - Croatia established by the European Union as an instrument for improving cooperation between border countries, solving common problems and equalizing the development of the border area. In this context, the project "Nature & Wildlife" was developed with the aim of actively preserving the common natural heritage through sustainable tourism. Improving the status of the included heritage areas, encouraging the green economy and raising the awareness of local stakeholders and the population seeks to encourage the sustainable development of the area. The area included in the project activities includes the Green Karst in the Primorsko-notranjska region (SLO), and Gorski kotar in the Primorsko-goranska county (CRO). The areas included in the project share the characteristics of karst relief that is present in the hilly and mountainous areas of the northern Dinarides, with many protected natural areas and animals.
