Abstract
Onečišćenje okoliša u današnje vrijeme predstavlja jedno od najvećih problema u svijetu. Zagađenja mogu doći iz bilo kojeg izvora, s kopna ili s mora i to u raznim oblicima. Plastika, i svaki njegov mogući oblik glavni je začetnik onečišćenja mora i rijeka čija povijest seže još od 19. stoljeća, a takav se izum smatrao dostignućem koji će donijeti moderni način života. Nova opasnost dolazi u obliku mikroplastike što predstavlja plastiku manjom od 5 milimetara te se dijeli se na primarnu i na sekundarnu. Negativno utječe na okoliš i životinje te se ne zna u potpunosti kakav je učinak na ljudsko zdravlje. Laboratorijskom analizom možemo utvrditi sastav i oblik mikroplastike putem mikroskopije i spektroskopije. Utjecaj mikroplastike na mora, oceane i rijeke iznimno je vidljiv s brojnim nakupinama koje se mogu pronaći čak i na najdubljim i najudaljenijim područjima od ljudske aktivnosti. Pojava mikroplastike je ozbiljan problem s brojnim rizicima kojeg trebamo riješiti.
Abstract (english)
Environmental pollution today is one of the biggest problems in the world. Pollution can come from land or the sea, in various forms. Plastic and every possible form of it is the main contributor of the sea and river pollution, whose history dates back to the 19th century, whose invention would bring a modern way of life. Microplastic represents type of plastic that is smaller than 5 millimeters and it is divided into primary and secondary type. It has a negative impact on the environment, animals and possibly on the human health. Laboratory analysis can determine the composition and shape of microplastic using microscopy and spectroscopy. The impact of microplastics on the seas, oceans and rivers is extremely visible with numerous accumulations that can be found even in the deepest and most remote areas from the human activity. Appearance of microplastic is a serious problem that need to be solved.
