Abstract
U radu su objašnjene opće značajke ulja te procesi koji se događaju s uljem. Navedena je podjela tankera i njihova konstrukcija te obvezatni uređaji koji moraju biti ugrađeni u tankere. Istaknuti su zahtjevi za nadzorom ispuštanja ulja s brodova kako iz prostora strojarnice tako i iz prostora tereta na tankerima. Na kraju su istaknuti primjeri havarija tankera koji su obilježili povijest pomorstva i bili uzrokom donošenja međunarodnih konvencija o sprječavanju onečišćenja mora uljima s brodova.
Abstract (english)
This paper explains the general characteristics of oil and the processes that occur with oil. The division of tankers, their construction and the devices that have to be in built in the tankers are mentioned. Requirements for monitoring the discharge of oil from ships both from the engine room and from the cargo space on tankers were highlighted. Finally, examples of tanker accidents that marked the history of maritime affairs and were the cause of the adoption of international conventions on the prevention of marine pollution with oils from ships are highlighted.
