Abstract
Veliki broj seoskih životinja u nekom dijelu svog života prevozi se, bilo na mjesta gdje je bolja i dostupnija hrana, nekad drugom vlasniku ili na drugačiji način držanja, a najčešće na klanje. Transport živih životinja morem po mnogočemu je specifičan; od mjesta uzgoja do mjesta isporuke kupcu, mora poštovati zakonske propise zemlje izvoznice i zemlje kroz koju se životinje provoze. Posebnu pozornost treba posvetiti sanitarno-veterinarskim uvjetima, te pojenju, hranjenju, prekrcaju i postupanju sa životinjama. Prijevozna sredstva i terminali moraju biti prilagođeni toj namjeni s posebnim naglaskom na mjere, propise i uređaje za zaštitu okoliša od negativnih posljedica transporta stoke. Ovaj rad će se baviti prvenstveno uvjetima prijevoza živih životinja morem, dobrobiti životinja tijekom prijevoza te ekološkim aspektima ovog specifičnog načina transporta robe.
Abstract (english)
Great number of country animals are being transported to other places; to their new owners, to a place with plenty of food, to a different way of farming or mostly they are being transported for slaughter. Transport of livestock animals by sea is very specific way of transport in many ways; from cultivation to delivery point it is necessery to obey the regulations of country that exports and countries through which the animals are being transported. Special attention is required in fields like sanitary and veterinary conditions and of course in process of feeding, watering and generally way of treating animals that are being transported. Vehicles and terminals must be adapted to this purpose with special dexterity to regulations and devices for environmental protection from the negative consequences of livestock transport. This work will primarily deal with the conditions of livestock sea transportation, the welfare of animals during transport and environmental aspects of sea transportation.
