Abstract
Razvojem tehnologije i donošenjem novih ekoloških pravila mijenja se i brodarska industrija. Tehnološki napredak omogućio je znatne uštede kod potrošnje goriva, što povećanjem učinkovitosti već poznatih tehnologija, što uvođenjem novih tehnologija poput dizel-električne propulzije u kombinaciji sa radom na alternativna goriva poput prirodnog plina. Cijena prirodnog plina je znatno niža od standardnih brodskih tekućih goriva, te će se u diplomskom radu istražiti koliko je rad na prirodni plin jeftiniji u dizel-električnom postrojenju s dvostrukim gorivom. Osim niže cijene, rad na prirodni plin je i ekološki prihvatljiviji nego rad na standardno tekuće brodsko gorivo, a kolika je razlika u emisiji ispušnih plinova vidjet će se iz matematičkog izračuna istih.
Abstract (english)
Shipping industry changes with technology development and new ecological regulations. Advancement in technology has enabled considerable savings in fuel economy, by rising efficiency in known technologies and by introducing new technologies like dual fuel diesel-electric propulsion. Price of natural gas is considerably lower than standard liquid ship fuels, so in this Master's thesis will be researched how much cheaper is the operation on natural gas in dual fuel diesel-electric propulsion. Besides lower price, operating on natural gas is also eco friendly, and what is the difference in amount of exhaust gases emitted in atmosphere will also be mathematically calculated.
