Abstract
Pojam okoliša predstavlja biljni i životinjski svijet, zrak, more, vodu, tlo, svjetlost, šume i dr. Razvoj industrije i tehnologije doveo je do povećanog broja stanovnika, do ubrzanog načina života i do sve većih i češćih zagađenja okoliša. Jedno od tih zagađenja je zagađenje zraka plinovima s brodova. Štetnim plinovima smatraju se dušični i sumporni oksidi, plinovi incineratora, hlapljivi organski spojevi, haloni, freoni...Onečišćeni zrak ima izuzetno velike i negativne posljedice na okoliš, atmosferu, ozonski omotač te zdravlje ljudi. Europska unija počela se intenzivno baviti sprječavanjem onečišćenja i poboljšanjem kvalitete zraka. Donesene su mnoge konvencije, zakoni, pravilnici i akti kojima se ograničava emisija stakleničkih plinova. Poštivanjem postavljenih pravila i uvjeta velike su šanse za umanjivanjem prouzročene štete u zagađenom zraku, te će se samim time poboljšati kvaliteta života.
Abstract (english)
The term environment represents wildlife, air, sea, water, soil, light, forests and others. The development of industry and technology has led to increased population, the rapid way of life and to higher and more frequent environmental pollution. One such pollution is air pollution emissions from ships. Harmful gases are considered the nitrogen and sulfur oxides, incinerator gases, volatile organic compounds, halons, Freon. Polluted air has a very large and negative effects on the environment, the atmosphere, the ozone layer and human health. The European Union has started to intensively deal with preventing pollution and improving air quality. Many conventions have been adopted, laws, ordinances and regulations that limit greenhouse gas emissions. Respecting the set of rules and conditions the chances of reducing the damage caused by the polluted air are higher, and will therefore improve the quality of life.
