Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu je opisano funkcioniranje programabilnih logičkih kontrolera i sustava gašenja požara u brodskoj strojarnici korištenjem vodene magle. Osnovni koncept programabilnog logičkog kontrolera prikazan je njegovom arhitekturom, vrstama te različitim metodama programiranja. Rad sustava vodene magle prikazan je pomoću osnovnih mehanizama za suzbijanje i gašenje požara te opisivanjem osnovnih metoda za stvaranje vodene magle. Razmatranjem sustava kao što je Siemens-ov LOGO! te sustav vodene magle SEMSAFE, prikazani su praktični primjeri PLC uređaja i sustava vodene magle. U sklopu ovog diplomskog rada prikazana je projektna dokumentacija SEM-SAFE sustava vodene magle upravljanog PLC uređajem Siemens LOGO!, ugrađenog na brod. Posljednje poglavlje prikazuje korake ispitivanje navedenog sustava.
Abstract (english)
This thesis describes the functioning of programmable logic controllers and fire extinguishing systems in the ship's engine room using water mist. The basic concept of a programmable logic controller is presented with its architecture, types, and different programming methods. The operation of the water mist system is shown using the basic mechanisms for suppressing and extinguishing fires and describing the basic methods for generating water mist. By considering systems such as Siemens LOGO! and SEM-SAFE water mist system are presented practical examples of PLC devices and water mist systems. Besides that, as part of this thesis, the project documentation of the SEM-SAFE water mist system is presented and controlled by the Siemens LOGO! PLC device installed on the ship. The last chapter shows the steps of testing the mentioned system.
