This paper presents the maintenance of the ship's hull with an emphasis on methods and techniques that ensure longevity, operational efficiency and safety of navigation. The paper presents different types of inspections of the ship's hull, which includes regular, gradual and extraordinary inspections as well as inspections of the underwater part of the ship's hull. Inspections of the underwater part of the hull are particularly important, and can be carried out on land or in water, depending on the type of ship and its age. Maintenance of the ship's hull during exploitation implies continuous activities such as cleaning the underwater part, corrosion protection, regular inspections and performance monitoring. Maintenance of the ship's hull is a complex and necessary process that requires constant attention and the application of modern techniques and materials in order to ensure the longevity, safety and economic profitability of the vessel during its exploitation.
